Sunset Beach and Surfside Colony
Rainbow Disposal is proud to provide residential trash service to Sunset Beach and Surfside Colony residents.

Automated waste collection takes place twice a week on Mondays and Fridays and requires special carts for collection - a blue cart for recyclables and a brown cart for everything else.

Automated vehicles powered by clean natural gas fuel are equipped with a mechanical arm that lifts and empties the specially-designed carts.

Carts are the property of Rainbow Disposal and must remain at each residence if you move.

Residence Carts
Most residents have a total of two (2) 65-gallon carts:
  • One (1) Brown Cart for Trash Service
  • One (1) Blue Cart for Recyclables Service
One 65-gallon cart is equal to two (2) 32-gallon containers

The 10/4 Pick-Up Program for Bulky Items and Periodic Extra Trash
We have extended our bulky item pick-up from two (2) times per year to four (4) times per year, and from one (1) item per pick-up to ten (10) items. These items may include bagged trash, yard waste (bundled and tied weighing no more than forty (40) pounds or no longer than 4 feet in length), old appliances, furniture and other bulky items. You must call to schedule a 10/4 pick-up (714) 847-3581.

What if I need extra capacity?
An additional cart request for recyclables upon review may be delivered free of charge. Residents must use their additional carts on a regular basis. Unused extra carts must be returned to Rainbow. An additional trash cart will be available for a one-time service charge of $75.
